Markian Olynyk

Markian Olynyk is an internationally acclaimed artist who has been creating works for commercial buildings, private residences, and public spaces since 1977. Projects include the home of Bill Gates in Seattle, the library at the University of North Florida, hospitals in Illinois, Nebraska, Nashville and Washington DC, and a private suite at the Plaza Hotel in New York. Local projects include a suspended sculpture for the Dentistry Building at UBC, a large mural in the lobby of the HSBC building at Georgia and Hornby, and a 33 foot long sculpture for the Port Moody Recreation Centre.

Markian’s work is in private collections and public spaces worldwide, and has been published in numerous books and magazines. He lives in Vancouver with his wife and business partner Susan Robertson. They have four children.
