Biography
Boldizsár Lukácsi is a Budapest-based contemporary sculptural artist and illusionist creating abstract glass works that investigate light, reflection, fragility, and human relationships. Inspired by the concept of the Luminous Cosmos, his sculptures explore the tension between opposites — strength and vulnerability, structure and fluidity, distance and connection — transforming sharp architectural forms into soft, flowing compositions that shift through light and perception.
Each work carries a contemplative message about emotional complexity, human interaction, and the possibility of harmony through contrast. Defined by a unique sense of illusion, the sculptures continuously transform depending on the viewer’s perspective and surrounding light, creating an experience that is both physical and immaterial.
Rooted in heritage craftsmanship and a highly labor-intensive process requiring hundreds of hours and often months of meticulous work, Lukácsi’s practice balances technical mastery with conceptual depth. Through precision, hand-finishing, and the delicate manipulation of glass, the sculptures emphasize the beauty of making itself — where material, light, and idea converge into works that invite dialogue, reflection, and lasting engagement within contemporary abstract art.
